How to find out if your site is Indexed in the search engines?

Checking whether or not your site has been indexed by a particular search engine is easy to do.

Using your browser, you should first go to the search engine home page. (e.g. Google.com) and then type in the search field the word "site", followed by a colon and the URL or domain name of your web site.

For example, if your web site domain name is 'domain.com' then you should type:

"site:domain.com" minus the quotes, and then hit the "Enter" key.

If the search engine is Google, it would look like the picture below:
If any of the searched web site's pages are displayed on the Search Engine Result Pages, it means that your web site has been indexed by that search engine.
